Photography for Creatives

My Approach

I’ve collaborated with many talented designers and artists to photograph their work and studio spaces. I enjoy recording the creative process, capturing the details of the tools and materials, as well as the person and their surroundings. I prefer for my camera to be ignored so my photographs are true to life, relaxed and unposed.  As well as capturing the process, I also work with designers, makers and artists to creatively photograph their finished work. In keeping with my approach, each photograph is individually edited with a light touch to retain my natural style.  Click here to see examples of my work.

Creatives I have worked with include: illustrator The Grey Earl, jewellery studio Vanilla Ink, designer Jane Gowans, and illustrator Johanna Basford. I have also been invited to photograph a number of creative events held by Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, amongst others. My photographs have been used for lookbooks, websites, magazines, product launches and more.

If you are interested in inviting me and my camera along to your studio, please get in touch.

Prices

My fee is based on a very reasonable hourly rate. In return, you will receive high resolution electronic copies of the photographs, an online gallery with password and a specified usage licence. If you would like more information about my photography rates, what’s included and how to proceed, please get in touch.
